These are not the original stainless steel cutters - these are plastic. When they arrived I was really glad I hadn't just given away my metal set with the hopes of replacing them with these, since the item listing says otherwise!That said, they're still fantastically creative cookie cutters that come in nice giftable packaging with ideas for decorating your very own ninjabread cookies. The cookies look best with a little well-placed icing (so it doesn't just look like a gingerbread man gone wrong), there are tons of pics online for more ideas with icing ideas. I gave these as a gift to a fun, geeky couple, and also think it would make a neat affordable gift for families with kids or anyone with a fun sense of humor that likes to bake.
