Customer Opinions

Great cookie cutter

I was looking for a cookie cutter that I could use to cut out fancy designs for my daughter's wedding. After investigating and reading reviews, I purchased this one. I am very happy with my decision! Cutter is well made, and very easy to use. Interchangable inserts are easy to change, and the variety of ones included will make this cutter useful for many special events in the future. Would highly recommend!

The best Linzer Tart makers
Aunt Lindy

I have had a set for years and am known for my Linzer Tarts by friends and family. My niece wanted to learn how to make them and I bought a set for her as a stocking stuffer. Now she can make "Aunt Linda's Linzer Tarts" and carry on the tradition. I bought a set of Christmas shaped ones from a different company and they fell apart. These are still the best.

Works great!

I looked at quite a few of these sets and they just seemed too expensive in some catalogues (King Arthur Flour, Sur La Table, Williams Sonoma, etc). When I went online to read reviews of the expensive sets, buyers said they weren't worth it and were not up to par for some of those posh vendors. Anyhow, I don't remember how much I paid for this set on Amazon, but the quality seems fine. I've made two batches of cookies and everyone said they were amazing! I used the Joy of Baking recipe which you can easily find with a Google search. It includes lemon zest and almonds, both of which take these cookies up a notch over plain old flour and sugar. Also, I just used whatever jam I had on hand and warmed it in a small sauce pan. A little jam goes a long way for Linzer cookies.Functionally, it is very easy to switch out the designs. I didn't notice at first, but there is a button to push to get the middle piece of cookie dough out of the middle design element. That feature sped up the cutting tremendously. Prior to realizing the button, I was using a chop stick to wedge out the middle dough because it would stick in there. One batch I over baked a little bit, but they were still so delicious that we ate them all. They were just slightly more crunchy. I think I would make the cookies a little bit thicker the next go around. They remain delicate, even if they are not super thin.Buy these and I think you will like them.
